Camille and Thomas married at Château de la Roche Courbon, in Charente-Maritime, twelve years after meeting in high school.
The day started in Geay, where Camille got ready with the people closest to her. Before the town hall, they had planned a first look on their own at the château. They added it late, and it was the right call: time alone before the day stopped being entirely theirs.
Civil ceremony in Soulignonne, church ceremony in Saint-Porchaire, then on to the château for the rest. Group photographs in front of the façade, couple session in the gardens under the lime trees, right as the June light finally started to drop.
The witnesses had something planned for cocktail hour: a Polaroid camera and a stack of old photographs to re-enact one by one. Dinner was served outside under the lime trees, broken up by a slideshow and a bridesmaids’ routine nobody saw coming. The first dance took place in the theatre.
Camille and Thomas live in Bordeaux. They chose Charente-Maritime for their wedding, and a venue that didn’t need anything added to it.
