Welcome! I’m Wayan Barre, a wedding photographer passionate about capturing real, unscripted moments that reflect the raw beauty of human connection. Every wedding is unique, filled with fleeting emotions, spontaneous gestures, and unrepeatable interactions.
With a documentary approach, I aim to tell your story with honesty and depth, blending into the background while capturing the details that make your day special. My focus is on preserving authentic emotions and timeless memories—so that years from now, when you look at your photos, you can feel the laughter, the warmth, and the love just as intensely as you did on your wedding day.

My Journey: From Paris to New Orleans and Back
Born in Paris, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for storytelling through images. My journey into photography started with street photography, where I learned to anticipate moments and capture raw emotions. Over time, my love for authentic storytelling led me to photojournalism, and eventually, wedding photography.
For the past five years, I have been based in New Orleans, a city known for its vibrant culture, music, and deeply rooted wedding traditions. Immersing myself in this dynamic environment shaped my approach—focusing on spontaneity, movement, and deep emotional connections. Experiencing the energy of second-line parades and intimate courtyard weddings refined my ability to document joy in its purest form.
Now, as I transition back to France, where I will be based in the Bordeaux region, I am excited to offer my experience to couples on both sides of the Atlantic. I will be available for weddings in New Orleans until summer 2026, while also taking bookings in France starting this summer.

A Personal Touch
Beyond photography, my life revolves around my family. I share this journey with my wife Juliette, a dedicated French immersion teacher, and our son Ael, who keeps us on our toes! Our move back to France marks an exciting new chapter, and I can’t wait to document love stories across Bordeaux, Gironde, Paris, and beyond, while continuing to photograph weddings in New Orleans for the time being.
